Construction
Spherical plain bearings from TRITAN OEM have inner and outer rings with spherical sliding surfaces. Standard units have sliding surfaces constructed of carbon chromium steel on steel, which is hardened, phosphated and treated with Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2) to reduce friction.
Spherical bearings can handle heavy radial and bi-directional axial loads at the same time. With their wide variety of designs and materials, they are ideal for a variety of heavy equipment applications.
Many are available with PTFE lined races, offering a maintenance free solution with lower friction. Also available are stainless steel bearings ideal for corrosive environments.
